GaoGaiGar may stand a chance still if the ending doesn't turn out to be any good but it is looking like it wont have a chance. -

Gurren Lagann Episode 23 Preview

Honestly I want to write a lot about what went on, but it was mostly talking. I imagine this wraps up the story with Rossiu, anyway he tries to kill himself.
