Well, after doing some research into things, it appears that the next air date for Code Geass may be as early as April 24th. Now, I’m not going to bet any money on this, but it appears that we may see it that early. Outside, we can only assume July or August before we get to see the ending.
Which is really, honestly, the dumbest thing ever. This is worse then FMA going mid-season and then saying “oh hey story continues later” then coming back with the story that kind of just goes on and on and on. Come on now!
If episode 23 of Code Geass wasn’t so awesome, I’d be even more “nerd angry” then I already am. Had it not contained so many great moments then maybe I’d be writing about how DOUBLE TRIP nerd angry I am. Thankfully, it was enough that it left you curious but you didn’t feel bad about watching it right away.
Speculation for the upcoming episodes ranges from one extreme to another. With the fact that the emperor and C.C. can apparently commune with the dead and how good guys rarely win right away… we’ll probably see a lot of mystery.
So far we have the following facts:
- C.C. went and talked to China about the Order of the Black Knights and in episode 23 we do see the Chinese seeing what Zero’s up to.
- Nina’s last name is Einstein and Lloyd gave her a “gift” for her research. She is currently modifying the Ganymede given to Ashford academy. Before it required power cells… it could be a nuclear powered mecha she is working on. That or well, the classic mecha dilemma of nuclear weapons vs. hardcore pacifism.
- Lelouch is planning on creating his own country where Tokyo stands. To do so he must defeat Cornelia. That’s his only goal… although we can assume Prince Schenizer is somewhere around.
- The Avalon can not go into battle as its shields can’t hold against a major attack force like the order has.
- V.V. may have gave Suzaku a geass. If it’s true, then we can assume it’ll enhance his combat ability to enough to take out a large swath of the Black Knights….
- It’s also possible given the realistic mechanics for even the lancelot to be zerged down or run out of power.
There is a lot more, but I’ll leave the rest to your imagination. It’s going to be a long wait, at least we have a few good series coming up during the spring season.
Here’s to hoping for April 24th!
