Code Geass episode thirteen is the continuation of the Cornelia Arc (as I self describe it) and is part of the recent stereotypical “ho ho ho you’ve been killing mech pilots haven’t you” conclusion that the hero of the anime must face. Although, this episode shows us that Zero (Lelouch) isn’t the kind of person who is easily phased by this.

The entire plot of this episode can be summed up as follows:

Lelouch feels bad about his mistakes, Lelouch realizes his mistakes are needed for justice, Lelouch blows up the whatever the wacky thing there calling their gundaminium up with the Japan liberation front on it, Lelouch almost captures cornelia, Lelouch fails, wacko girl from last ep points gun at Lelouch, Karin fights Suzaku, BURNING PASSION emits from the stage.

Okay, that wasn’t an easy summary of the episode, but as you can see it was one of hell an episode. The first half was pretty meh and I kind of skipped around but the second one. Man, anything you have two pilots shouting at each other as they prepare to ram their mechs up against one another is just amazing.

Overall, I give this episode 8 out of 10. I have to deduct two points for taking the time out to show Lelouch’s feelings and the weird kind of sick evil Lelouch has going with blowing up the Japan liberation front and telling them the knights it was honorable suicide. 8 points for well, burning passion mech battles and one hella messed up story that has me longing for next episode.

WHICH HAS NO PREVIEW!

New op and ed is hilarious, jpop to mechs? Yeah right.
