Finally it appears as if we’re going to get to the end of this! Death Note is available at Kuro Hana’s Tracker.
This episode has us inches away from the big manga spoiler you’ll hear about everywhere. Honestly, I can’t wait. This episode has been the first in a long long time that is actually good. I’m surprised, honestly. We’ve got about two episodes before the series turns downhill then it’s just “urgh”. So better enjoy em! Actually, thinking about it this episode is probably one of the best in a long long time. Maybe it’s because I know the manga spoilers (which I won’t spoil) and can’t contain the excitement for what’s about the happen. Maybe I’m getting all happy inside thinking about how cool the “real ending” of the manga will be (the end of this arc). I don’t know, but I found this episode to be awesome.
The timing is a little odd, half way through this episode should have been the start of the next episode and maybe some more lame filler to hold it off. I don’t like the cliffhanger feeling and how it went from L and Light just chilling to the full fledge action. Maybe I’m crazy, I don’t know. Anyway, the first half was rather boring but the second half picked up.
I’m hoping they go different then the manga with the second half, but they aren’t. The new OP already shows characters from the second arc so that is as good as concrete that it’s going downhill after the big manga spoiler.
Ah well, on a rating I’d give this 8/10. Next episode if done properly may see 10/10.
