Well I have yet to watch 17, but I have seen it raw. I’m waiting until 18 releases to download BSS subs and try them out. Right now, with all the drama relating to the various subs, I don’t want to link something. BSS isn’t exactly the best and Gurren needs the absolute best to enjoy.
I will say that, given my limited knowledge of Japanese language and the ability to read spoilers that the episode was amazing to every degree of the word. More after the jump.
The new character designs look odd, but hey, at least Simon looks totally badass with the cape on. The Kamina statue was insane. Just, absolutely, insane.
A little on the current sub drama. Gurren Lagann is licensed so we only have about two subbers on the scene. BSS and Anon. Anon is this dude (or dudes) on 4chan who are subbing the anime. No clue who is doing it. They’ve been really late with their latest releases. BSS seems to be a mystery sub group.
It’s hard to understand why in the world GL isn’t getting more sub attention. It is licensed but that’s never stopped Gundam or a better know series from getting the proper attention. Gah! Come on fansubbers, get yourself some attention and get to subbing GL before we have another Eureka 7 on our hands.
That’s about all I had to say, I guess those spoilers are coming out to be accurate. Oh yeah, EVIL NIA kicks so much ass it’s hard to understand. Evil Nia finally gives some depth to that character - something more then the moe stereotype.
