With a heart felt goodbye, I leave Dreamhost and join Apis Networks to host this blog (which doesn’t generate THAT much traffic for this post to matter). Dreamhost gives you a TON of bandwidth and a TON of well, everything else. Features, utility, speed, and all of that is wrapped together. The one thing they don’t give… relability.
It’s no joke that Dreamhost oversells. They oversell like mad. You get what you pay for, 20 bucks for a TB of xfer a month for 12 months is insane. My 12 months ends in June, but Apis has a special going on giving 25% off. Might as well get in while the deal is hot.
I’m going to be sticking with Dreamhost for my domain host, it’s only 10 bucks a year and they’re reliable in that aspects, but with everything good I’ve heard about apis, I might as well move on over. It’s 40 a year for nearly the perfect plan for me. If I go over then hopefully I’ll generate enough reveanue to afford some kind of monster hosting, but until then I’ll be content with Apis.
Speaking of them, a few words of praise should these words find themselves to a search engine somewhere and someone looking for a comment or two, so far the support has been great. I got quick answers on AIM and the forums where I found the deal, I’ve got tons of bandwidth, and well lots of other goodies in this really REALLY awesome control panel.
Ahh well, new host and news CMS and a few new things coming soon.
