Seems like Castleville has its winter holiday quest up and gives us a gracious nine days to complete the 10-part “Save Kris Kringle” quest guide. Before you start the guide understand that this is a very costly quest chain and those who are progressing through the game normally might just want to skip it because it’ll set you back. Even the first starting quests use valuable resources like Wool Thread and Wool (which comes from sheep).

To save some time, you’ll need 30 Cotton later on in the quest chain and you’ll need to harvest 20 Flax for another part. Flax is a 30 minute craft, but you might not get to that part on the first day, so it might be a good idea to start off by planting some Cotton now to use later.

You’ll notice at bottom that there is “Kris Kringle’s Bag” which as you craft gifts will fill up. As it fills up you’ll be given rewards. Not every gift counts as one present in Kris’s bag. Some count as more, you can see as you look in the Gift Shoppe.

Snow Fall

Place the Landing Target so Kris Kringle knows where to… land.
Hint: Find Landing Target in the Buildings section of your Inventory.

Click on the target to let Kris know you’re ready!
Hint: The target is the big pile of snow with the bullseye on it.

Help Kris Kringle out of the snow!
Hint: Click on the Landing Pad’s target to help Kris up.

Snow Fall is the easiest quest of the bunch, simply because all you need to do is open your inventory, place the landing target, and then click on it twice.

Ode to Toy

Place the Gift Shoppe foundation from your Inventory.
Hint: Find the Gift Shoppe in the Buildings section of your Inventory.

Build the Gift Shoppe. We need new presents!
Requires 10 Wood / 10 Stone.

Easy enough, build the gift shop (its in your inventory) and then use 10 wood / stone to complete it. You’ll get a candy cane pole to go along with everything. Some say you need Holiday Wreaths for this, but! I didn’t need it, so you shouldn’t either.

Slipping Up

Craft 1 Holiday Slipper in your Gift Shoppe.
Hint: Click on the Gift Shoppe to start crafting.
Requires 5 Wool, 2 Wool Thread, and 1 Bell (you can ask neighbors).

Collect 1 Holiday Slipper from the Gift Shoppe once it is complete.
Hint: Holiday Slippers take some time to craft. Click on the Gift Shoppe when they are complete.

Decorate your Kingdom for the Yulefest holiday. Have 3 Holiday Trio Candles.
Hint: Buy from the Town tab of the Decor section of the Market.
Costs 6,000 coins for all three X_X

This quest is a costly investment, but if you’re doing the holiday activities you’ll need to grind through these because if you don’t, you won’t be able to unlock later presents (which count more towards the Kris Kringle’s Bag). BE SURE to accept the quest BEFORE you craft the slippers!

Sugar Rush

Rewards: Festive Wreath Lamp

Craft 1 tasty Fruit Cake from your Gift Shoppe.
8 grapes, 10 wheat, 2 spices

Tend 1 Neighbors’ Kitchens to look for day-old pastries.

Hint: Click on Neighbors’ Kitchens to accelerate or collect items from them.

Have 3 Cookies to restore Kris Kringle’s strength.
Hint: Ask Friends for Cookies.

If you’re going to finish this quest soon go ahead and plant 20 Flax for Sacked Out. You could also queue up two rope in the Workshop (you need to craft four BUT! there is a three workshop limit, so you should just craft two at a time). Don’t accept them until you accept Sacked Out obviously.

Sacked Out

Craft 5 presents in your Gift Shoppe.
Hint: Click on the Gift Shoppe and pick 5 items to craft.

Harvest 20 Flax for making Rope.
Hint: Place Farm Plots to grow crops.

Craft 4 Rope to stitch up Kringle’s Gift Bag.
Hint: Craft Rope at the Workshop.

Will take at least five hours to complete, assuming you make nothing but slippers. As for the Flax, you can have it planted earlier. Rope takes 5 minutes, so you might just want to use only two Workshops and have the other working on something more important.

Cheer and Present Danger

Winter Gloom Thieves are trying to steal your presents! Banish 2 Winter Gloom Thieves.
Hint: Click Winter Gloom Thieves to Clobber them.

Use 1 Super Clobber to banish those Thieves.
Hint: Super Clobbers deal 4 damage to a Beastie with a single swing. Craft in the Workshop or buy from the Market.

Have 4 Unicorn Sparkle. It acts as a natural repellant to the Gloom!
Hint: Ask Friends for Unicorn Sparkle.

You’ll need to buy a Super Clobber and use it on a thief and then defeat the rest. Might just let your friends tackle it and save energy if you’re waiting on Unicorn Sparkles.

Over River, Through Woods

Craft 5 presents from your Gift Shoppe.
Hint: Click on the Gift Shoppe and pick 5 items to craft.

Spread some Yulefest cheer! Earn 10 Reputation.
Hint: Visit Neighbors and do activities in their Kingdom to earn Reputation.

Tend 3 Neighbors’ Gift Shoppes.
Hint: Click on Neighbors’ Gift Shoppes to accelerate or collect items from them.

You should be able to complete this step pretty easily. Again, craft five more presents. You’ll earn the 10 reputation as you visit your neighbors.

A Creature Is Stirring

Have 5 Blueprints to get ideas for new toys.
Hint: Ask Friends for Blueprints.

Use 2 Hyper Craft to accelerate crafting.
Hint: Buy or craft Hyper Craft, then use from your Inventory.

Craft 4 Wind-Up Beasties. Gloom not included.
Hint: Craft in the Gift Shoppe.

Easy enough, make four beasties and use two hyper craft.

So Fluffy

Have 30 Cotton for making a Stuffed Unicorn.
Hint: Harvest Cotton on Farm Plots.

Place 5 pretty flowers for inspiration.
Hint: Buy in the Nature, Plants section of the Market.

Tend 10 flowers in Your Kingdom.
Hint: Click flowers in Your Kingdom.

You can buy flowers to instantly tend them. Cotton is from the farms, you should have planted it earlier

Jingle Bell Ruckus

Banish the 3 Thieves.
Hint: Click Thieves to Clobber them.

Craft 10 Stuffed Unicorns. Awww!
Hint: Craft in the Gift Shoppe.

Consume 5 Fruitcakes to keep up your stamina.
Hint: Once crafted, use Fruitcakes from your Inventory’s Consumables section.

Last quest! You’ll have to craft five of the Fruitcakes to eat them, along with the 10 Stuffed Unicorns.

Well that’s this years Castleville Holiday Quest!

Oh joy, the best game ever out there, Cafe World, also known as “HI, Farmville is old so let’s play the latest game to spam our friends with on our social networking sites because we need to show everyone how cool we are.” Well guess what, I’ve been playing it out of super boredom and am here to tell you what to do to get ahead of your friends so you don’t feel depressed because you can’t rub it into their face.

First, the design of your kitchen determines how fast food is sold. The faster food is sold then the faster the money goes into your pockets. Interestingly enough, that’s an important issue only early on. Later on, when you have more serving tables and waiters, then you’ll always be at 105 buzz rating and pushing it even without cheating.

Secondly, what you cook determines how many coins and how many cafe points you get for your time. The longer something takes to cook then the less you’ll level up off of it and often enough the less money you can get from it. The shorter the recipe the more you’ll get it. This makes playing the game a proactive thing to do in order to level up faster than others. On the flip side, it’s also boring and unfun. So it all depends on what you want to do.

Lastly, understand that you have to get the ball rolling to do ANYTHING with your cafe. Seriously, the first week is painful because you can’t earn money fast enough and you can’t gain XP fast enough. As you get more waiters, money, cafe size, etc. you begin to understand the joy of the game. Well, what there is of it.

So, how do you win Cafe World. It’s simple. REALLY simple. I’ve read 10000x from how to use Cheat Engine on Cafe World (to little to no success) to how to cheat and none of it worked. Really, except for a thing to max buzz rating BUT COME ON, you can max that yourself in half an hour of having the window open with food out.

Well, let’s assume you’re starting at square one. You’re in a crappy cafe, you just did the tutorial, and you need to start. First, begin by making hamburgers. Seriously, hamburgers. Do it for half an hour. Make ‘em, wait 5 minutes, come back, make some more. This will net you enough XP that you should be a few levels higher.

From here, you’re going to want to start planning your meals and expanding. To expand, open another browser (like open IE if you use FireFox) register some fake Facebook accounts, friend yourself with them, then invite yourself to be a neighbor. That will get your expanding going well.

This spreadsheet is the REAL ultimate guide. Sort by cafe points per hour OR profit per hour. Here you can learn what to cook with what time you want to bother on the game. Hamburgers, yes, hamburgers are the #1 food in profit and cafe points. Why? Because you gain points for cleaning the stove, for preparing, etc. which all adds up. The quicker to make foods often give you more, but it varies. Just use the list to search for something that gives you an actual bang for your time.

For instance, Overstuffed Peppers are the best thing for a 12 hour slot. Hamburgers or Chicken Gyros and Fries are best if you’re actively playing. If you’re not a high enough level, Strawberry Cheesecake is better than Pumpkin Pie. Pot Roast is awful for leveling up, but it does take 2 days of you not doing anything.

So there you have it. The biggest thing I can stress, THE BIGGEST THING, is that you need patience. Once the ball starts rolling then you’ll be rolling in the dough in NO time.

Now, one final thing, cheating at Cafe World.

There was an infinite stove cheat that I wasn’t around for, but it is fixed now. The only thing you can do to cheat is to get some kind of macro program like autoit or some other mouse recorder and record yourself making hamburgers or if you want to be more careful Gyros. Be sure to visit all of your friends and watch out for annoying popups. Go to sleep and wake up with a ton of XP you’d never gotten on your own.

Buzz Rating determines how many people come to your place and eat. You lose something like 1 rating for a customer who waits too long and gain like .05 for a happy customer or something. I don’t know, anyway, use the below server trick to make sure your people are always fed or keep the counters and tables close. Have A LOT of tables too. Like I said earlier, if you’re cash strapped then you’re going to be sucking for a bit until you get good enough that you can make tons of cash fast.

That or you can give Zynga your IRL cash and just make a super big awesome cafe with nothing to do in it.

Welp, that’s it for Cafe World. Seriously. Oh, OH, one last cheat.

If your servers are trapped and can’t reach a table then they’ll instantly serve that table. HOWEVER, the table must otherwise be accessible (there must be a spot on the table for the server to reach to). A good way to do this is to take your counters and box the server in the corner. You can also not cheat and just have all the tables circle the counters.

If you face the stoves away from the cook then the cook will instantly cook too.
