This episode of Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge was rather excellent. Good plot, good movement, and some exciting drama. There was only a few down spots. Download it here. Anyway, there was only one spot in this episode I didn’t like. That was when she was in her dress in town.

Those kinds of scenes where the main character are embarrassed kind of get me embarrassed and upset as well. It’s just… stupid. Had that been more then a few minutes I’d be ranting about how I hate this episode. That was the only low part.

The rest of the episode was excellent. Here are the reasons why:

• Finally we have some advancement in her becoming a lady. FINALLY.
• The scene at the end with the horse had some BURNING JUSTICE. More slice of life anime needs BURNING JUSTICE.
• Finally an episode were money isn’t an issue.
• FAN + DRACULA OUTFIT == COOL

That’s pretty much it for this episode. I think that if the series continues it’ll end up being pretty good. At least the comedy hasn’t stopped like Ouran where they had the super serious and weird character development episodes.

Episode 17 continues the fiancée arc between the lady and Ranmaru.

Overall, this episode wasn’t bad. It had a little bit of action, a few feel good moments, and well, some other stuff. I think it was pretty decent. This series does need a little something or else it’s going to end up decaying, because the episodes are so obvious. Like, for instance, it’s always about how Sunako is ugly then how they go do something cool then how Sunako grows a tiny bit at the end. This stereotypical melancholy has to break if this series is ever going to go past just 2,000 people on the torrent release day.

It’s not bad, it’s watchable, but it’s no Ouran. It needs to do something really good, something really interesting, in order to reach that levels. Although, really, I, in a way prefer it over Ouran for the comedy aspects.
