Episode Summary

Viral is back and a new enemy approaches, the great ganmen. How will the Gurren Dan take on such an enemy? Its firepower is far superior to anything they have and combined with Viral and a the fact the great ganmen stores and launches ganmen of its own… how will the Gurren Dan survive?

Episode Review

After a slow 4 and 5 and 6 this episode pretty much made up for it. Not only do we move the plot forward leaps and bounds but we also establish the firepower the enemy has and what it’s capable of. During the episode a lot of people come to Kamina’s aid to fight the new enemy but Kamina insists on trying to solo it causing a realization that he isn’t invincible. During this scene I was pretty much crying MANLY TEARS OF JUSTICE at just how amazing this show can be.

This episode pretty much made it start rivaling GGG and many other excellent anime. This episode, is without a doubt, one of the greatest anime episodes in a long time. Including the episode of Hayate where a tiger has sex with him.
